REFLECTIONS HOLIDAYS - CORINDI BEACH - GUMBAYNGGIR LAND

We stayed at Reflections Holidays Corindi Beach for a full week and it is a great place to do exactly that. Located 30 mins North of Coffs Harbour, it is a very easy drive along the Pacific Motorway allowing us to head back into Coffs multiple times for the touristy things (Big Banana!) or getting supplies. This caravan park has more of the old school caravan park feeling rather than the newer ‘resort’ type places we’ve stayed at recently.

Now for the ABC4 review… (A = positives, B = unique/special, C = needs improvement, 4 = rating, ✅= additional tip)

[ A ] the wildlife! Every afternoon there’s a mob of Kangaroos that visit and feast on the currently luscious grass around the ground. Our spot was directly opposite where the ‘Roos ate and relaxed. Miss A  enjoyed watching them  in her first ‘proper’ ‘Roo encounter. There’s also plenty of bird life, but watch out for Brush Turkeys getting into your rubbish!

[ B ] the Aboriginal history of the area. We learnt a lot about the local indigenous history during our stay and we definitely recommend heading down to Arrawarra Headland to see the fish traps and read a little about the history (it is a culturally significant meeting place).

[ C ] the location. Not really the fault of the park but there really isn’t a lot to do at Corindi itself. The ocean was pretty rough during the week of our stay so there was no swimming. The park doesn’t have a pool but, on the plus side, it does have a small playground, a skate park and a basketball court which our 3yo loved scootering around!

[ 4 ] 2 out of 4. Hopefully you get the feeling from this review that while the park is good and there’s nothing bad about it - it just doesn’t stack up against other caravan parks we’ve stayed at, so it’s a ‘middle of the road’ score for Corindi.

💰$50 per night. This is for a powered site and staying 7 nights. We did get an Astro-turf site which is excellent.

✅ There’s a great little general store that also does hot food just outside the park. There’s also a great family owned/run cafe (Koko’s Cafe). Otherwise Woolgoola (15 mins drive) has a new(ish) Woolworths and a little further away at Moonee Beach there’s an ALDI (which we love) and a Coles.
