REFLECTIONS HOLIDAYS - LENNOX HEAD - BUNDJALUNG LAND

Our last stop crossing the border to Queensland on our Big Lap in March 2024 was Lennox Head and it was our final stay at a Reflections Holidays park for quite some time as we are not due back into NSW until January / February 2025.

Now for the ABC4 review… (A = positives, B = unique/special, C = needs improvement, 4 = rating, ✅= additional tip)

[ A ] the location! Back to the “A” spot and the reason why we choose most places to stay (beyond the ability to bring a dog) - location. Reflections Lennox Head is perfect for us sitting on the Northern fringe of the area and right up against Lake Ainsworth. The lake is freshwater and can be accessed directly from the park through a series of gates along the fence-line of the grounds. Note for those with dogs though - the lake is entirely dog free - no dogs allowed but the vast majority of the nearby beach is dog off leash.

[ B ] cane toads. Our first sighting of cane toads and there was a few spotted each night and early morning. Miss A was fascinated with them. I’m sure there will be plenty more!

[ C ] no playground. Trying to keep an almost 3 year old entertained has certainly been one of the more challenging exercises on our Big Lap. A playground is always a surefire go-to to keep her entertained and we have loved the parks where we have stayed that have play equipment. Sadly none at Lennox Head meant we had to look for other activities. Thankfully most of the park had bitumen which meant - scooter time!

[ 4 ] 2.5 out of 4. Ok, time to break out the decimals. Looking back at staying in the park it doesn’t feel like a 3 out of 4 but neither does a 2 out of 4. So I am sitting on the fence in between.

💰 $48 per night. Certainly felt like it was on the more expensive side given no power but facilities were great and in the end, you probably are really paying for location.

✅ Both Ballina and Byron Bay are a short drive away so Lennox Head is the perfect place to be away from the hustle and bustle of both of these towns but have easy access to them. Oh and the washing machines here have a feature that they text you when the load is done! ❤️
