Our Stay @ Jimmys Beach (Reflections Holidays)
REFLECTIONS HOLIDAYS - JIMMYS BEACH - WORIMI LAND
We’ve always loved Reflections @ Jimmys Beach and it was the perfect location to start our Big Lap in March 2024. We’ve always Reflections Holidays to have great facilities and so many are pet friendly which of course is crucial for us as we travel with Scout 🐾. The locations are usually pretty perfect too!
Now for the ABC4 review… (A = positives, B = unique/special, C = needs improvement, 4 = rating, ✅= additional tip)
[ A ] location. Just a 2 hour drive north of Sydney but it feels like a million miles away. The park itself is nestled in what feels like a bushland setting and between two awesome beaches - Bennetts/Waynderrabah Beach as the Ocean Beach and then Jimmys Beach which is inside the headland and essentially Port Stephens. We were lucky to have a spot at the top of the park with bushland behind us. This also meant plenty of wildlife for us to enjoy and the photos show.
[ B ] the pool! The new(ish) pool at Jimmys Beach is a resort style pool with cabins surrounding it. Miss A loved splashing around in the large shallow section of the pool and it made for some great play time.
[ C ] the roads. It took a little bit of time to sit and think about what is my least favourite part of the park. In the end, it’s as trivial as the roads within the park. Patches are rough with dips and potholes. Why is this an issue? No issues with cars but when you have a 3yo that LOVES a scooter ride and she has to keep stopping because of the ruts, etc.
[ 4 ] 3 out of 4. I am harsh with my rankings with 4/4 only going to the very best parks I have ever visited. So 3 out of 4 is actually pretty bloody good!
💰 $67 per night. On the more expensive side generally, but this was two nights over a weekend. We certainly found that the further away from Sydney we went, the cheaper the accommodation (of course depending on site type)
📌 we stayed on site 134
📅 1st to 3rd March 2024
✅ you will experience some unique wildlife at this park. We have always spotted a Goanna (monitor lizard) on each of our stays and Dingoes roam freely.
